HISTORICAL NEWS
11-01-2005 - The BEAT is now authorized Columbus residents who wish to utilize our charter and/or airport services.
In September 2005 The BEAT resumed Bexley Middle and High School Lunch Shuttles, OSU Football game
Shuttles, Christ Lutheran "After-K" transportation services and Hebrew School shuttles both from Bexley elementary schools.
The BEAT will assist individual riders as a "last resort" option if there is an important medical
or family need, however costs will approximate airport transportation rates.
6-27-2005
The BEAT has re-opened for Bexley and non-Columbus residents. (Service for Columbus residents is anticipated to be available September 2005)
Service is currently limited to group charters and individual/group airport transportation. Hebrew School transportation from Bexley schools directly to Tifereth Israel will be offerred beginning September 22nd 2005.
The return of morning and afternoon school routes, middle and high school lunch, and or individual transportation services will be not be offerred until such time as funding support through the Bexley BEAT Foundation can be obtained.
"BEXLEY BEAT FOUNDATION Web site" (Click here)
The Bexley BEAT Foundation, is continuing to seek community contributions towards its goal of raising $40,000, which will be used by the Foundation to fund a grant to The BEAT in recognition of its service to the community in 2003 and 2004. Pending resumption of school and individual service to the Bexley community, during 2005, The BEAT will be offering Bexley not-for-profit organizations and Bexley school groups a discount off of its normal public hourly rates and will only require a minimum 1 hour booking.
